Fishing Q&A: Okuma Trio or Quantum Fire spinning reel?

These are two very popular, inexpensive, and overall great spinning reels. We've found which one stacks up the best. Which one do you think we picked?

Here's a snippet from our opinion:

"These are two good reels, but for me the choice isn't close. While its tempting to pick a reel based off the number of bearings, or how many positive comments there are, if you hold both of these reels in your hands one is clearly the better pick.

Personal experience: I've had a number of reels from both companies, and while I have consistently had reliable, positive experiences with Quantum, a lot of my Okumas have had issues within the first year of ownership. I think Okuma's products have a reliability problem, and now do not buy them for my personal use. To add to that, Okuma's warranty requires you pay for shipping of replacement parts. Quantum's warranty has free shipping, which came in handy the time I had to replace a bail spring within the warranty period."
